Perranporth is a popular seaside resort with a good range of local amenities but probably most famous for its 3 mile stretch of sandy beach.
The high street offers a selection of essentials , eateries, pubs and souvenir shops.
Perranporth is a favourite with families, couples, walkers, golfers, dog owners and their four legged friends!
Set on the Atlantic coast makes it a very popular with the surfing community, and the beach is manned by lifeguards during the main season (April to September).
There is plenty to do in Perranporth, including horse riding, surf lessons, and golf, or just sit on the beach and enjoy the sunshine (hopefully!)
Perranporth is also a great base for exploring the rest of Cornwall, including the nearby resorts of Newquay, quaint and picturesque St Agnes, St Ives and the Cathedral City of Truro.
My husband and I had a lovely stay here with our nearly 2 yr old son and our Springer Spaniel dog.
It's a lovely space with everything you could need.
The location is amazing, right on the doorstep of the beach and all the cafes, shops and amenities.
It was so good to have this with a parking space right outside your door too.
Once inside you could forget you were amongst the hustle and bustle as you are set back from the main street and the sound proofing of the house means it's a nice and peaceful retreat.
A well fitted out kitchen meant self-catering was easy which suited us perfectly and there are also a couple of pubs and cafes within minutes walking for going out too.
There is a lovely Italian restuarant just minutes away as well - highly recommend it!
We would defintely stay again and recommend it. Jackie's communications were brilliant too making for an easy visit. Thanks :o)
Our week's stay at Alma House did not disappoint.
The house was perfect for the five of us. Our eight-year-old son described the house as 'heaven' and the teens appreciated the cool top room where they could go for privacy.
The proximity to shops and beach was so convenient and we were tucked just enough back from the main road that we didn't feel exposed to the noise or traffic of town.
The master bed was very comfortable which is really important for a restful holiday. We loved the sunny front patio and beautiful front garden. The kitchen was great, well-stocked and clean, the sitting room comfy and we found some useful items in a cupboard for the beach - boogie boards and an all important wind-break!
Perranporth has a charming little park with gorgeous landscaping and an adorable boating pond just a two-minute walk from the house.
